I’ll cut this short with a final note: this is just what’s worked for me. Before the riven I ran my Nikana Prime (crit and slash focus) and Mios (stat and crit focus) with no real issues. Especially with a dual crit/stat build like what I use on my ScindoP, which procs heat and slash like a beast and crits about half the time at the 2x multiplier. Viral does literally nothing, and in most cases dealing slash and heat damage will eat through infested. So far it’s working very well.Īs far as infested in general, best to look up resistances for infested. Because I usually run vaults in pairs or triples, Protea’s weakness are often covered by my squad mate(s) making it much easier to work together on the mechs, as whoever I’m running with can build exclusively for fighting them and then bring a strong melee to deal with mobs.

The only issue I have with this loadout is if I’m given a defense objective of some sort I have to be more vigilant about ranged attackers just because I have no way to stop them from picking off the objective beyond sniping them.Īs far as the mechs themselves go there’s entire discussions centered around mech farming. Which they generally don’t if they’re in range. If I run Ignis I bring my LexP so I can snipe distant enemies or enemies with a lot of armor, if I run Vectis I bring my Pyrana (don’t have prime yet, will probably switch to using it) or the Aksomati to deal with mobs that get too close.īut that’s assuming they survive my turrets. I’ve been rocking Protea with either Ignis Wraith or VectisP. If these aren't answers that help, get back to me and I'll try to help you figure some things out. (I want to get around to a Xaku build but haven't.) If Banshee is not your style, I've had good success as Wisp, Volt, Hildryn, and Gara, maybe Wukong. You don't need Banshee, just a faster paced frame that's really good at CC'ing and/or buffing/synergizing with your weapons. Status can be good against them if you get insane stacks or the right weapon, but personally I am a Banshee main, I run a crit focused Heat/ Corrosive Acceltra, I have a blast. If I have a melee and I feel like swinging, I make sure I'm proccing with my guns and hitting with a Tox/ Slash.

Being armored units and infested, Corrosive/ Heat strips most armor and heat is always good.īonus if that weapon has Slash (a la Hunter Munitions or just base IPS) or Toxin. Personally, I use Corrosive/ Heat on anything Deimos related.Ī lot of heavier Deimos units have custom armor values and resistances (Viral does nothing on Deimos), Steel Path or not.
